SCARECROWe

FILM

Tribulation Films was founded in 2011 by writer/director Jason Stoddard.  In 1998 he began his career at the University of Alabama, relocating to Charleston, South Carolina in 2002 to attend film school. While on set as a production assistant he quickly worked his way up to an audio engineer.  Stoddard has worked with many major networks, documentaries, EPK's, and many other clients across the world.

After seven years Stoddard teamed up with close friend and Director of Photography, Lee Dashiell to form their first feature film production company, Afflicted Picturehouse. They set out to have a finished feature film in less than a year.

With only three months to write a script, cast the film, and hire a crew A.P.H. was working on all cylinders.   After twelve days of shooting and six months of post production, A.P.H. had completed its first feature length film, The Afflicted.

Winning numerous awards at multiple film festivals allowed A.P.H to close world wide distribution and then went onto a lengthy run on Video On Demand, Netflix, Amazon, Itunes, and many other outlets allowing audiences from around the world the opportunity to view the project.

This gave Stoddard a new passion for writing, producing, and directing something that continues to fuel him today.

At the office

At the office

Just another day at the office for Lee and Jason.

THE AFFLICTED regularly implies more than it details, which makes for a provocative and uncomfortably sincere examination of a matriarch gone mad without anyone really noticing until it’s all a bit too late.” – Fangoria.com

“Leslie Easterbrook gives a startling and compelling performance...man she’d give Joan Crawford a run for her money” - Horrorphile

“Relentlessly downbeat, Stoddard deserves credit for somehow pacing the movie in a way that builds its catalogue of abusive horrors while allowing viewers to breathe and wade through it to the very end.” - Amazon reviewer

“Intense and shocking horror film based on actual events! Jason Stoddard is an amazing writer and director! The acting is phenomenal. No one could create the atrocities in this true life horror story.” - Netflix member
