After the success of The Afflicted, Stoddard started working on his second feature, The Discarded. After years of research and writing Stoddard created a historical and medically accurate story line which examines mental health care and its early practices in the 1950's. The Discarded also provides an intriguing and intimate look into multi dimensional characters from all walks of life, living in and outside of the asylum walls.  They experience a multitude of emotions as they struggle with the realities hidden behind the thick stone walls of South Eastern State.  A strong beautiful facade that mask the atrocities playing out from within. S.E.S. will ultimately take a devastating turn of events taking many along with it.
